What do you feel is a “masculine” embrace?
How did you learn to embrace another guy?

I do think a masculine embrace…a lot of it is firm. But I would say that the firmest handshakes that I’ve gotten I’d be like, ‘that’s too masculine for me’...There are many times where I’ve gotten handshakes and been like ‘damn, why is this person yelling at me?’

What are some memories of physical affection
with your fathers?

How do you approach an embrace with people you’ve just met?
What’s required for you to let your guard down?
What are your boundaries?

I actually do the kisses on the cheek still. I do it with my dad but I also do that at the mosque a lot…And I’ve done that with people [who have just] come to the mosque for the first time. There’s some solidarity I find in religion and the brotherhood that comes with that so I guess I never even thought twice about kissing these men that I’d never met on the cheek.

Memories of intimate moments with close friends?

At the end of the night it was so late that it was early but I remember vividly you and Kevin snuggled into the bed, just chillin’, and then me hopping into the bed, also just snuggling/laying there as this person was sitting there watching us and didn’t understand how we were all interacting without even talking.
